Artistic turmoil

The past few months have been a blur of artistic chaos. With all of Sean's new submissions, inquiries, commission based pieces and the side-projects our house (more-so the dining room table) has become a refuge zone.

I couldn't be more proud of how much he's accomplished since we've left San Jose. His ideas have had so much more room to progress. He's really come into his own with his work :)

Aside from all of that, life in general has been pretty hectic. All of the mandatory over-time has finally come to an end...JC, I'm in a state of aftershock from all the iPhone toting idiots in this world!

Though, from it I've pulled some pretty neat-o friends. I guess you can say Portland so far, has been good to us :)

Not sure I know too many young parents that have pulled through the strife Sean and I have been through this past year. I couldn't feel more fortunate and blessed for that.

Zoe's been getting so big into dancing and music. Next month, we're planning on putting her in the "Dance, Move, and Me" program at our local Dance hall for kids. She's starting to really feel out the rhythm - I must say, it's pretty impressive! Ha!

Not too sure what we have planned for her birthday, I'd like to be around home so she can be around the family but with all the holidays coming up, it may be more reasonable to go on a few days later for Christmas...Hm. Guess we'll start having to make our arrangements soon!

On another note, the food scene out here has been ridiculous. Sean and I have become the most outrageous foodies. If you've watched Portlandia and you've seen the scene where Carrie and Fred order from a restaurant, inquiring whether the food is "local" - you've probably envisioned one of our neurotic neighbors. People out here are hilarious. Nobody every tailgates us on the road or drives over the speed-limit to get to their favorite micro-brewery at night. Nobody ever deters your awkward eye-contact without greeting you first. People legitimately preserve the rights of all cyclist in this city, both driving and riding. And not a single one of our neighbor's know's the use of the word "yolo". It's a city girl's fantasy world!
