Run

Went on a nice 6 mile run up to my favorite lookout place I'm SE Portland, Mt Tabor.
It's starting to feel a lot more like spring time around here. Everything is in blossom and full of gorgeous color. It's about time I bust out my gardening tools and get a little dirty!

Sun, in Portland?

IT'S A LIE, RIGHT?!

Nope, it's truly sunny in Portland and it's stylishly raining in California. Weird right?

In light of this madness,  I took advantage of this light with productivity.

1.) Finished my workday with yoga routine breaks between calls.

2.) Placed all our house plants in the outdoor sun.

3.) Finished all OUR laundry AND folded it.

4.) AND managed to go on a 6 mile run to top off my 10 mile mark for the week! 'Course my phone died on my last 1/2 mile from all the excitement, but today has begin a great day thus far!

Next: Nap time!

Risks equal rewards

If I didn't take the chance of rain over running, I would have never seen this. I love this amazing city and all of its unpredictable quirks!

Aside from it's beauty,  I also ran my best... almost 10k. Granted it would've been slightly better if I didn't half to run my 3rd mile uphill, and get lost...and stairs... so many steps....

Baby steps.

I started my day with a quick cardio set:
- 1 full song of alternating jumping/squat jacks
- 10 burpees between skater jumps
- 5 Scissor lunges (on each leg) between side kicks
+ "Power knees" (As beach body would say) as active recovery between challenging reps

And for core:
- High plank core routine
- Single leg extended/ alternating crunches

I'm happy to say that I've officially knocked out my 10 miles for the week.

**FUCK YES!!**

But I'm still feeling pretty good... so maybe another 5 k tomorrow?

DEATH. DEATH. DEATH. :

We'll see...

Staying sweaty

Staying sweaty today. 2 runs. And hot yoga! Immune system is feeling strong, libido is up thanks to the Maca smoothie I had today, and stamina is high. I love this feel.

Superbowl Sunday run

Is it just me or is it freezing out?
Oh, right... I live in Oregon. The state of the perpetual cold front.

Good thing my body's conditioned to this weather. It's no wonder my sister had to to slam back her deer antler velvet and ginseng to maintain her bodily homeostasis whilst visiting..

My hands and thighs got so red today. It felt like my fingernails were going to fall off.. strangest feeling.

Just a quick lunch break

To run a quick mile. Pretty sure I beat my personal best yesterday but my GPS crapped out in the middle of my run so I have no idea... nonetheless, I beat it today. By almost 20 seconds! Sweet. Always room for improvement! I love my job :)

Constant motion

What I aspire to have for the entirety of my existence is an active life.
It feels good to have been getting out every morning to feel the brisk winter Portland air on my face, to allow my body to learn bends and angles it's never reached before, and to simply feel renewed energy coursing through me...

Rainy runs

Rainy day runs are like a constant rehydration belt... Only it's not contained in bottles and it hydrates more than your mouth... Haha..
Relax/ meditation yoga after a snotty 3 mile jog. Being sick sucks dick.
