Sun, in Portland?

IT'S A LIE, RIGHT?!

Nope, it's truly sunny in Portland and it's stylishly raining in California. Weird right?

In light of this madness,  I took advantage of this light with productivity.

1.) Finished my workday with yoga routine breaks between calls.

2.) Placed all our house plants in the outdoor sun.

3.) Finished all OUR laundry AND folded it.

4.) AND managed to go on a 6 mile run to top off my 10 mile mark for the week! 'Course my phone died on my last 1/2 mile from all the excitement, but today has begin a great day thus far!

Next: Nap time!

Risks equal rewards

If I didn't take the chance of rain over running, I would have never seen this. I love this amazing city and all of its unpredictable quirks!

Aside from it's beauty,  I also ran my best... almost 10k. Granted it would've been slightly better if I didn't half to run my 3rd mile uphill, and get lost...and stairs... so many steps....

Baby steps.

I started my day with a quick cardio set:
- 1 full song of alternating jumping/squat jacks
- 10 burpees between skater jumps
- 5 Scissor lunges (on each leg) between side kicks
+ "Power knees" (As beach body would say) as active recovery between challenging reps

And for core:
- High plank core routine
- Single leg extended/ alternating crunches

I'm happy to say that I've officially knocked out my 10 miles for the week.

**FUCK YES!!**

But I'm still feeling pretty good... so maybe another 5 k tomorrow?

DEATH. DEATH. DEATH. :

We'll see...

She cleans up!

I feel pretty today in my "just going to pick up my kid from school" outfit. Went on a nice mile run. Even upped my personal best since before winter and ran it in 8 mins 47 seconds. (If only you knew how much that odd number drove me insane). At least there's always room for improvement! Settled my run with some vinyassa flow and thus concluded my "work out/ work routine". Man, I love working from home.

Constant motion

What I aspire to have for the entirety of my existence is an active life.
It feels good to have been getting out every morning to feel the brisk winter Portland air on my face, to allow my body to learn bends and angles it's never reached before, and to simply feel renewed energy coursing through me...

Pressing play.

This is the best part of my work day. Taking a lunch and running to my hearts content. It feels so good to finally feel like we're winding down from the craziest holiday downturn. Time to press play on my health status and kick it back into high gear.
